Disable IE keyboard shortcuts
October 22, 2007 12:00 AM
Hello..... I currently have a course with actions to SHOW text based on some keypress' with the clients system. CTRL + 5 is one of them. The problem is that CTRL + 5 is the rserved IE keyboard shortcut to select all.Does anyone out there know of a way I can disable this for my Lectora course? Is there some external HTML code/Javascript that I can use and will work with my course?Of course there are loads of Javascript functions out there on the web for supressing the CTRL key, but I can't get them working in combination with my Lectora course. I found the following that worked well as just straight HTML: However this code doesn't seem to do anything when created using External HTML and posted as Header Script in lectora. The ALERT is never even reached. There is another 'document.onkeydown = keydown;' found on the Lectora page and I'm wondering if that's causing an issue? Any thoughts or advice around this issue would be greatly appricated. cheers, Ryan
