Contents View in Edit Mode

Thanks for your suggestions Aaron and Ben,I came up with another possible solution which is to uncheck the "Always on Top" check box in the Table of Contents Properties whilst editing and then when I finished development, re-check this box which will then enable the contents object to display when selected (clicking a button) in run/preview mode?
