Completing a Learning Path

Is there a way where I can have a learning path complete if say it is a lot of the same event, and the student only needs to attend once.

Solution

Good morning! According to our Rockstars, "If they add the same event module to the learning paths then all of them will be marked attended after a learner attends one." Hopefully that helps!

From what I have tested, even when I "attend" a class, the course still shows in progress because of all the other class offerings. It also allows you to rsvp for multiple offerings holding seats.

Hi Troy,

A course in the Rockstar Learning Platform has to have every module in it marked as complete for a user to receive completion for the course. If there are 10 event sessions in a course and the user only has to attend one, then the course will never be marked complete for the user.

What a I can recommend is one of 2 things.

1. Create a over arching course with 2 sub-courses in it. One for the required course material and another for the events. You can enroll your users into the 2 sub-courses. This way you can check that the user has 100% completion on the course material, and you can also check that they have completed 1 of the events in the events course.

2. Create 2 totally separate courses. One for the required course material, and one for events. At the end of the course with the required material, you can use our in platform quiz builder to create an attestation. You can have a multiple choice question asking the user to confirm that they have completed an event, and then a short answer question asking which event they attended. You will also be able to check this information against their progress in the events course.

You could also do a combination of these 2. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the feedback. Seems we need to know a little more. Instead of back-and-forth via the Community, we're going to open a ticket for you. Stay tuned!

Referencing the issue "marking users complete," if the course contains media content from multiple user groups, and the current user can only access and complete certain content, will the system mark the user complete once they've completed their assigned content?
