I agree with Ben: if at all possible keep it actual size. Whenever you resize you will get some image degradation.In general, I prefer .png or .gif to .jpg for screen captures, as they work better for flat, solid colors and area of high contrast. The 'p' in .jpg stands for 'photo' and that's what they handle best. Photos or any image lots of subtle gradations of color. .jpgs are notoriously bad at flat colors or areas of high-contrast. If you really must to go with .jpg, you'll get a better image if you bump up the quality (i.e. reduce the compression) but your file size will increase
