Hi Red,
there is a way to handle this at the title level. I set up two buttons (audio on/audio off) at the title level as well as an audio file which is set to play an empty audio file. This will be inherited throughout the course. Since the audio file is now an inherited object, an action is set on each page to change the contents of the audio with the appropriate audio file for that page. Another action is used to automatically play the new audio file. The Audio On/Off buttons can be activated at anytime to turn the audio on or off. If you turn it off and then on again it will start the audio file at the beginning. I didn't build a pause option. I've posted a set of instructions in the Files area to show this in more detail.
