AICC Not Playing Streaming Audio (HTML Okay)
May 31, 2012 12:00 AM
We're using streaming audio for our eLearning. Bandwidth limitations for our remote sites require that media files be pulled locally rather than over the Internet, so within the streaming option, we set the URL path as "file:///g:/..." as all locations have their own G drive mapped where the audio is stored.
This works fine when we publish to HTML, but when we publish to AICC and run the course through our LMS, there is no audio sound. And we can publish to AICC and then pull the pages up within the HTML folder that's contained in the AICC folder, and that works fine. It's only when we're in the LMS. We're also using some of the animated character flash components with audio, and those SWFs are playing, but again no audio sound - just the character movement. There are no noticeable errors on the page - simply no sound.
Any thoughts? We've tried using both MP3 and FLV for the audio. Both work fine in HTML, but not through the LMS.
We use SumTotal LMS 8.2 SP6, Lectora Enterprise Edition vX.6, Internet Explorer 8, and Windows 7.
