Best option I have found is to convert all movies to wmv if flash (flv) is not an option. There are some sites online that will convert for free. I have used "http://media-convert.com/" several times with no problems. Then open and add the tags as suggested by jzurovchak.Timers for buttons and such are usually not a good idea as noted by CDC_Joe as his reason and that machines run at different speeds. YOu wouldn't think that matters anymore, but believe me it will. Also, if the learner just drags the slider through the movie, the timer is still back at 5 sec into instead of 5 min at the end.
