1st time user

This is the first time that I have used Lectora and I don't understand something. I have created my chapters and my pages. I am on the second page of my first chapter and the text has carried over to the second page. I do not want that text there and I am trying to figure out how to delete the text from the second page without it automatically deleting it from the first page. Please help me and tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks,
