XML import fails.

Hi,We exported a Title to XML, replaced an RTF block with text in another language (English to French I believe) so we would be able to publish the the title with all text in another language. However, when importing we got an error window from the XML Wizard saying: 'Errors were encountered parsing the XML file. Unable to use his file'.Has anyone seen this before? What could be the most common explanation? Thx for your input,Jack Cool.

Hi Tim,Placing the .dtd file in the folder did the job. Instead of giving an error message, Lectora should be able to tell if that file is missing and give an appropriate hint I would say...As for the reason why the .dtd was missing: We were working from a clean folder as we did not want the import overwrite the original. Thanks for the tip!JC

Lectora uses the Apache XML parser ... that is who generates the error messages about the XML file ...Tim

If you get the message "Errors were encountered parsing the XML file", then the XML file you are trying to import is not well-formed or does not validate against the Lectora.dtd. Get a copy of XMLSpy and validate the XML ... it will show you what's wrong.Tim V.
