When is a course "complete"?

We have had a lot of discussion about this at Dealership University. Here's what we currently do...The learner answers all of the test questions and then reaches a page that says (paraphrase) - click back to review your answers, click next to submit your test...The next button on the 'submit your test' page has 3 actions: set lesson status to complete (note: if the learner visits the page it does not mark thier status to complete), commit that action (just to make sure), and submit final test, which then displays the feedback and takes you to the next page. The next page (end of course) buttons will only close the course to prevent a learner from skipping to the test and taking it over and over until they get a 100.Because the course is marked as complete, the learner cannot change their score by taking the course again. For the time being, this works, and our clients prefer to see what their learners are making on the test the first time, and then have the test reset if they fail so the learner can retake.Edited By: tory.hornsby on 2006-11-9 17:37:58
