Web 2.0 Gotcha

Looking through the forums, the general advice seems to be to turn them off. So I tried turning them off today as we've been getting some flaky performance with them (radio buttons in MC test questions wouldn't perform consistently, and I had to click the buttons several times to get them to switch states).

I've been publishing to HTML (F8 key) to preview my course, and everything works fine once I turn off the Web 2.0 pop-ups turned on Publishing to HTML (F8 key) works fine once I turn off Web 2.0 pop-ups. However, if I pressed the F9 key to preview the current page in a browser, I was still getting the Web 2.0 pop-ups. It turns out that previewing the current page in the browser (F9) uses the "Publish to SCORM/Web-Based" settings to render the current page in the browser. I actually had to publish to SCORM/Web-based, and turn off Web 2.0 publishing there in order to get the F9 key to accurately render the current page in the browser.

Thought I would share.
