Variables Question
July 22, 2013 12:00 AM
Hi All-
I am using Lectora Inspire 11. I have some text that has the following actions on it:
1. On Click Show - a checkmark image
2. On Click Modify variable - variable set equal to 1
3. On Click go to - a page in the title which opens in a new window
The page has a question on it and a next button, the next button takes you to another page with text and an exit button, the exit button closes the pop up window the the title still displays.
Problem is: the check mark shows as it is designed to, however when I have the course loaded to our LMS (Cornerstone) the checkmark displays when the title is open but when I close the title and re-access it the check mark is gone. i believe this is also impacting my "Completed" message going to the LMS as well.
I should note I have these actions set on other text on the page that are working properly - the only difference is when those items are clicked they launch a page that has a captivate swf file on them.
I could swear I set it to hold values between sessions somewhere, but now I cannot find that and besides it is holding some values just not all.
Help??
Thanks in advance

retaining variable values is in the variable manager (tools ribbon).
my first thought is there's nothing telling the checkmark to show except the click. No click, no show.
You could have a page level action that checks for that variable and shows the checkmark if the variable = 1.
without looking at your other text and variables that are working, it's difficult for me to say, but I am far from an expert.
