Variable Math

It would be nice if we could use a variable to describe the length of a graphic...but I don't believe that is currently possible.I have a similar situation which I use in creating surveys. It is a manual process but it works quite well. Let's assume I have 10 pages in my survey. I create a 1 pixel sized border rectangle graphic that is, say 200 pixels long and put that at the top. It is a black border with a white interior. I put this at the book level so it will be inherited on each page. I create a red rectangular graphic. The vertical height is 2 pixels less than the vertical height of the border. (Two pixels less will make it fit exactly inside the border without spilling over or masking the top or bottom of the border.)I then place this rectangle at the page level inside the border so it will be one pixel down and one pixel over from the location of the rectangle. I set the red box's length to be about 20 pixels since the total length is 200 pixels and I have 10 pages, where each page is then worth 20 pixels (200/10=20)I then copy/paste this rectangle on each page going into its properties and adjusting its length. When I get to the last page I make it only 198 pixels otherwise I will slop over the extreme right border line.Works great and is very easy to do. Obviously, though, if you add pages later you will have to recalculate the length of all the red boxes.
