Updating files from attached external folder

I have added an 'HTML extensions' object in my Lectora title. And for that object I have added a folder containing some addition files using the 'Additional Files' option in the properties panel.

I had added a folder with a thought that it would help me keep all the external files (images, css, js, etc.) files in a single folder. I publish my title and all works fine.

When I update the files (say css file) from the external attached folder, I would assume that the changes I made would reflect in the course that I publish. However, the title just takes the first version of that css file, the version when it was first created and attached to the title, and publishes the title with that file. I do not see my changes.

I tried deleting that folder and reattaching it. I tried deleting it completely from the Resource manager and then reattaching it. But it does not make any difference to the title or the course published. It seem the first version is somehow stuck with the title.

Has anyone come across this issue? How do I work around this?

Thanks.

Lectora creates a copy of the externally attached folder inside the 'extern' folder and from that point onwards it just includes that folder from the 'extern' folder. So while I was updating the files from my original source folder, Lectora would always publish the course and include the folder which was residing inside the 'extern' folder.

So either delete the folder from inside the 'extern' folder, in which case your title will loose its linkage to that folder(!!) and you will have to link your external folder again or update the files from the folder within the 'extern' folder itself (recommended).

Was not obvious for me.
