tree highlight

The highlight that is displayed in the tree when you either click an icon in the tree or click an object in the work area is way too dim for my old eyes, plus I some some mild color blindness that may be contributing to my difficulty. Is there anything I can do the darken or change the highlight so I don't have to go hunting for it?
