Minor clarification - TOCs are 3 kinds - Dropdown, tree, indented - not just dropdown. There is no way I know of to change this dynamically. Sorry. Your workaround is to create a text hidden box with the names of the chapters/sections and objects at the beginning of each line and Change Contents actions on the objects when the chapter is completed. Have some icon, maybe a screen snap of a dropdown list box, that they click to and then you show the text box.
