Text boxes with links don't align when published
January 18, 2023 12:00 AM
I have text boxes with links. They are top-aligned and look right in Lectora. When published to HTML, the first link's position shifts up a bit. Has anyone had this issue? Ideas for how to fix it that don't involve having all links in one text box?
Thanks for helping me out!
I'm running the current version of Lectora v21.4.
Solution
I am assuming there is something wrong with an alignment setting or text formatting (e.g. line spacing, etc.).
Would you be able to share the project so that I can look at the settings and experience it first hand?

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the quick reply. I can't send the project. I created a new title to try to replicate it (this issue is in a couple of titles my coworkers put together) but nope ...
So I returned to my title and looked closely at the two text boxes as you suggested. One did have a line return (seen with the little "show formatting text marks" button) that I removed. I confirmed they both had the same line spacing. That didn't solve it, so I made both boxes the same height. That fixed it!
I'm not sure if it is because the text boxes only contain links - it is the only time I've seen this happen. Regardless, it's solved now. Thank you!
Most welcome. Glad it worked out. When things like this happens, it is typically an errant character that made its way into your text block. We get that a lot in our development cycle when copying content from our storyboards to the product. We are able to catch it 99% of the time, but that 1% gets us scratching our heads until we dive deeper into it using the different tools available to us (e.g. F12 Dev Tools is super helpful btw).
We have the same issue with our products too btw... so i know how you feel.
