Text Block Background for Transitions

I am setting up some transitions for a text block where an image is in the background.

The transition is set to wipe down both the text block and background image.

When the text wipes down, it has a white background displayed even though I set the background to transparent.

I have checked the setting to Render text as image when published.

It is happening with I am in Run and Preview modes.
