Test page layout

Hi I have many test pages aall questions and answer properties are set up. I want to change the look, location, font size, back color and bullet type for choices of each test page. I have tried to save page layout but layout do not let me to save question text and choices locations and their properties.

Is there a way to save my layout and apply to each page which will make me to gain time?

You can change locations a couple of different ways. You can move all of the questions at the same time if you choose the question - this selects the text and the radio buttons at the same time. You can also click on each individual element in the question and move them manually with either a drag and drop or using the position and size. I tend to use the position and size box to enter x/y coordinates to try to maintain the spacing between radio buttons/choices and text boxes.

Hi Tamer...click on the TEST (double click the test icon in the title explorer), then click properties. This will give you access to the background and test text styles.

The color and/or image for the test can be changed and, the test text style can be changed too. Uncheck the inherit box, then select the text you want to use (font and style as well as color, bold, etc.).

Since you already have test pages, changing the font and text style will most likely cause some formatting issues so double check your questions to see where you need to adjust the formatting.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jason,

But I caan select this only for 1 question page. It does not let me choose the all choice texts in different questions. So it causes delay in time. And manually each uestion will take 2-3 minutes

I don't know a way to select ALL questions in a title and rearrange them based on a specific X and Y.

When I add test questions, I hit "center horizontal/center vertical" for each question...this allows me to get them in the "center" of a page. But again, this is as I am adding questions, not after they are already there.

I think you might have to adjust each on individually...

If you've already created all the question pages, I'm going to have to agree with Devon. One thing that might help, if you need the font to be the same on all questions is to create a text style called "Question Text" using the font face, size, etc. you want. You should be able to then go to each question page, multi-select the question and answer text boxes and apply the new text style.

One approach I take is to create a "template" page with all of the elements styled and arranged the way I want them (along with actions for that specific page). Then I copy the page and only have to modify the properties or actions for individual if I need to make changes.

For your case, I would create one test page with just the question added and styled how you want it and name the page "Question template". Then I would take that page and copy it and edit the question with the text/answers for that page, then repeat for each question page.

It sounds like you may have already created all the test pages, so this may not be helpful for this course, but might be for future courses.

Thanks a lot but I think copy style of page and paste it to another page enhancement may be useful for developers.

Can I take a page I already designed (background, title bar, navigation icons, etc.) and just put it inside the test section to make a valid test page? Or do I have to start with a test page that Lectora provides when I create the test?

Disregard this...I posted this question as part of a separate, new post. (Mods...feel free to delete my comment in this thread, as well as this reply to it!)
