streaming audio/loss of focus

It has to do with the way the buttons work in IE 6.I'm not sure if it's Lectora, or IE 6, because in Lectora 2004 published files buttons controlling a windows media file viewed in IE 6 worked fine, play, pause, etc. As soon as Lectora 2005 came along - no workie - video reset to the beginning of the file as soon as any button was clicked. It took a while to create the workaround, but here you go - the buttons that control interactive elements on a screen that includes a windows media file can't be buttons in the pure sense. Something to do with the way the onclick action is handled or reported I think - what you have to do is create a an ALTERNATE STYLE OF BUTTON using a text box with an embedded graphic inside of the text box. That graphic can be converted into a button by using actions (on mouseEnter, on mouseLeave, on mouseDown). The neat thing is Lectora has the capability to create this button without ever really promoting it as a button option. You'll know it works differently because there's NO AUDIBLE CLICK when you select this alternate button - unlike standard Lectora buttons. You can't use straight graphics either as buttons, and add actions to those - it won't work - the graphic elements HAVE TO BE EMBEDDED INSIDE A TEXT BOX. Create a text box - DOUBLE CLICK INSIDE THE TEXT BOX - right click - Insert>image). The rest is easy to figure out.Once you create this style of button, you'll find there's some CRAZY things you can do with it - and you might never make buttons the same way again.Edited By: administrator on 2007-5-8 10:24:46
