Apparently it wasn't that I was now posting from a form versus directly from a test that triggered the problem, but that one of the service packs I installed introduced the bug. I have temporarily moved on to other tasks and haven't pursued this recently, but from what I understand, to work around this I would need to uninstall Lectora and reinstall without installing the service packs.
