Snap: problems recovering from crash

I had to force Powerpoint to close to recover from a crash. The autosaved .pptx file now opens but it doesn't recognise the autosaved .gpkg file. A dialog box appears, asking if I want to browse for the file, but it still doesn't accept it even though the filenames of the pptx and gpkg files are identical. Any ideas on how to recover, please? If no remedy, then presumably my entire Snap presentation is lost?

Hi Phil,

Fred from Trivantis support. So if it is having trouble disconnecting that typically means the file is corrupted. You can try saving a copy of the file but unfortunately if the file is indeed corrupted the Snap content is lost. That being said, you can save the Powerpoint content. Open a new Power-point and copy over the Slides from the old one. Then you can rebuild the Snap content.

Hope this helps!

Fred
