SnagIt Crashing under Windows 10

I have been issued with a new laptop (and HP ProBook running Windows 10 64-bit). I installed Inspire 16, which went without a hitch, and have subsequently been attempting to use SnagIt to capture screenshots.

Unfortunately, every time I attempt a capture, SnagIt crashes. I can restart it with no problem, but it will then crash again when I try a capture.

Has anyone else experienced this? Searching TechSmith's support came up with nothing relevant (although that could have been down to my searches).

From what I can find online it appears to sometimes happen when Windows 10 is not installed correctly on a computer. Techsmith suggests opening a support ticket to determine if that's the issue or not. Here's the website: https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
