Slow loading of Text boxes with borders?

Has anyone ever had a problem with web loading time when using textboxes with borders when publishing to html?On several of my pages, I created 7 textboxes in Lectora; each having a border size of 2 and a raised bevel. Each box has only one letter in it. When the title is published to html and posted on our web server, the pages load painfully slowly; over 400 items load. There are not 400 items on each page. When I look in the Lectora Images folder after publish, there are at least 800 addional images added that I did not create. Each is a .gif and titled "text8556_5" etc. Each .gif looks like a piece of the border of the textbox. As a test, I removed the bevels and just left an outline. After republish, the image folder shows fewer additional images than before, but the .gif's are still being created. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to speed up the loading of these pages? Do I need to remove the outline from each of the 7 textboxes as well? Thanks, kat** Additional note: We just tested the loading time after removing the border and the bevel - SUCCESS! The page loaded instantly.I would still like to understand further about the .gif images that get added during publish. Thanks!Edited By: kshykula on 2008-1-14 18:33:31
