Show then hide, then show the same object again.

I have a page with multiple items that can be displayed one at a time. After the first item comes up, the user can click to have the 2nd item display and the 1st item hide. After the user gets through the whole list of items, I give them the option to start over. In preview mode, it works fine, but in the browser once the 2nd items displays it transitions in then right out. I use the same actions and objects as the first time thru. Is there some rule about displaying an object more than once? Any ideas?
