sharing lectora variable between titles

I am just wondering whether it is possible to share a lectora variable between titles (html publish). Or can you share the variable values stored in a cookie between titles? At the moment I don't see how.Its basically for a master menu which will tick off titles done i.e tracking behaviour. I have done similar with databases and lectora in the past. However I now need a simpler approach for a project. If anybody has had any experience it would be good to know.thanks.
