SCORM Test issues

I'm running into several problems with these LONG tests that I've never encountered before.
#1- I have 5 SCORM Tests published to my department's LMS. They are set up to randomly present questions and require a 85% to pass. In my LMS, the tests are marked as completed even if I fail them. My theory is this: Add an AICC_LessonStatus variable on my last page to only pass if the test score is 85 or >. I didn't add this variable to begin with because I thought the pass/fail set up took care of that, but apparently not.
Any other thoughts? Am I on the right track?
#2- One of the course reviewers ran in to this error: "Some of the persistent data was not able to be stored." I researched that on here and came up with some information, but not all consistent. The workaround that Lectora Support suggests isn't working for me. They say to change "var bDisplayErr" from true to false in your published files. I did that. Then my LMS wouldn't accept the ZIP file. Not sure why.
Any help/suggestions on these two issues would be greatly appreciated.
