Retaining variables and progress markers

No, I never did get an answer to this. I thought of doing something but haven't had a chance to try. I was thinking that, since I know what page they re-enter the course (Solo does track that successfully), I could reset all of the chapter-complete variables when I go to any page. Of course, that means I will be resetting the progress markers on every page, but it is the only solution I could think of.
