Retaining Variable

I'm developing a course using Lectora x4. To complete the course you need to access all its topic.
The course is working just fine, it bookmarks and it is tracking but if you close the course all variables will be reset and the next time you access the course you need to access again all the topics to complete.
Is there anyone out there knows how to retain any variable you declared.
