Render Text as Image - Scroll Bars
December 23, 2010 12:00 AM
Please fix the "Render text as image when published" feature of the Text properties.
I often like to use special fonts within my course designs. That being said I find myself having to create all the text elements I use in PhotoShop first and bring in as images because Lectora's "Render text" feature is bugged and will 99% of the time start to include scroll bars on publish.
I have tried the suggested XML Export/Import work around, but eventually the buggy scroll bars will re-appear on all the text I have set to render as images. This can become quite frustrating.
Please read this and take it seriously when considering potential fixes to entertain. I love the depth of functionality Lectora allows as an authoring tool, but it is amazing how many work-around fixes we course developers have to come up with for such an expensive professional software package.
PS. I would love to see an ability to embed a font into Lectora but I'm sure that would be quite a task. Also, the ability to change the matte color on published images would be nice.
