Refreshing a page in an LMS

Is there a quick way to refresh a page in an LMS environment, I used the Javascript:window.location.reload() script on the refresh button and it worked great until I published it for SCORM/LMS. Now when the refresh button is clicked it closes the course. I realize that because I selected the present course in seprate window than the LMS field it now closes the course. Is there some other quick code that may work on the refresh button?
