If you are going to need the exact details of the cmi interactions, I'd just do it through Flash and the external interface commands. If you don't I'd just pass the variables back to Lectora and let Lectora handle all those issues. In my experience it is less painful when trying to mix the interactions with the LMS and Lectora. The "report" at the end, I suggest you show it in Flash, and then when they finish the course, let Lectora handle the rest. Hope that helps.
