Random Setting For Quizes
April 19, 2016 12:00 AM
I have created a quiz in L16 and the customer wants the questions in random order so associates don't memorize the answers to the questions in order. On the test I have checked Randomly Select Pages on the Behavior tab and entered 20 in the Pages From Test. This quiz only has 20 questions. When I test the course in test environment, the quiz will give me any number of questions under the 20 setting. Sometimes it will give 2 questions, other times 13, 10, 15, etc. It is not producing all 20 questions when taking the test. Any thoughts or suggestions? I've looked over http://community.trivantis.com/knowledge-base/creating-randomized-tests-in-lectora-and-lectora-online/ and can't come up with a reason for this behavior.

Try moving your questions into a section and then randomizing the section. On the page that takes them to the test have it point to the section of questions instead of the main assessment. We had this issue previously and this worked to correct it.
Actually I believe my issue may be solved. We have always put the questions for the quiz in a test section which is set to random and then added an additional test section which is not set for randomizing for placing our exit page. This time I had to delete the additional test section and replace it with a Chapter instead that contains the exit page. Seems to be working so far. Thanks for the replies on this.
Is there a submit button some where in your course? If you switched from a non randomized to randomized the button may still be there and once you hit that question it's processing the test.
