Questions and Drop down lists

Great trick Neil! Would not have thought of that. Now that you have, I will add that you can also put those actions in an action group if you have Lectora 2006. Then run that action group from the On Select/Change tab in the Dropdown box. The advantage here is that it leaves your Next button in tact preventing you from having to have a unique Next button on each page.To extend Neil's example to a multiple-choice question, you would need only one action for all choices. For multiple choice questions, instead of setting the Question_001 variable to True or False, you set it to the value of the dropdown box. Action: Modify VariableTarget: Question_0001 (or whatever it is)Value: Var(Dropdown_0001)Modification Type: Set ContentsYou can see what values questions and form objects return in the Tips and Tricks RepositoryTo see in action:Tool Kit HTMLTo Download:Lectora Tool Kit Source zippedcheers, benEdited By: bpitman on 2006-4-25 14:42:31
