question about maintenance subcription

My company is balking at purchasing the maintenance subscription. Perhaps we could persuade Lectora to tell us specifically why we should upgrade when we don’t know what we would be getting for the money? When we purchased 2008, we were able to test drive and that helped us make our decision to purchase Lectora over other products.I’d really like to test drive it. Then we could tell our management what great and worthwhile things the expenditure gets us. Right now I can't tell them anything to justify it.
