Producing Camtasia 8 video with hotspot to run in Lectora eLearning

I am doing screen simulations in Camtasia 8 for an eLearning product which will go into Lectora.

I want to add hotspots to a callout so the simulation will stop at certain places to give information and the participant can click the text box to commence the simulation again.

I used the ‘Lectora Output’ MP4 video in the production wizard and realised that interactive features like hotspots are not included in the video.

What is the best way to produce the Camtasia video so the hotspots in a callout will stop the video and start again once the callout is clicked in a Lectora eLearning package?

Thank you. :o

1. In Camtasia, publish your video: File > Produce and Share > MP4 with player.

2. In Lectora, click Insert > Web Window > Local content > navigate to your published video, choose the player HTML file. Make sure the "Add all files and folders" box is checked.

3. Publish the course and test if it works. Previewing this page won't work (for reasons that I won't go in at this point, hopefully it'll work in version 12).
