Problems with Google Chrome

Hi

I have created a course that uses a variable whereby every time a set of particular icons is hovered over with the mouse it will add a letter into the variable and if the user hovers over all the icons they get an achievement.

This works fine whenever I do it in Internet Explorer, but whenever I do it in Google Chrome it will not work (I am launching the content is CourseMill Wave).

Has anybody else had this problem?

Hi Sergey. The variable is added to from pages across the entire course. Should I upload the html file?

Ideally, attach both the zipped html and zipped title. Or email it to sergey@branchtrack.com for privacy.

Hello

Attached is the Lectora file.

I had to remove pretty much all of the screen shots.

Just to clarify, Within some text boxes there is an 'I' icon, when hovered over it will display additional information. the variable that I have will add a different letter to the variable for each of the 'I' icons (i.e. the first icon will add 'a' to the variable, the second icon will add 'b' to the variable etc). when all icons have been hovered over, an achievement will be unlocked for viewing all additional information.

I have also doubled up on this to try a different approach, but this time using 'on show' rather than 'on hover' and attaching it to the additional information boxes that are displayed, but this did not work in Google Chrome either.

Thanks for your help

Kind regards

Simon

I was able to get the desired affect to happen while running it in debug mode watching the buttons add the letters to the info variable. and manually updating the variable to contain all the letters. Is it just when published it's not working?

Thank you for testing.

The only other thing that I can think of is that I am using Windows XP, would that make a difference?

As long as it works for my users, that's the main thing.

Thanks again Sergey and Andrew

To be honest - I didn't know about the debug mode until you just said O_O

It does seem to be adding the letters into the variable, So I am guessing that there could be a problem with the desired out come (for both the 'on mouse exit' to display the message saying they have an achievement, and the 'on page show' to show the achievement in the achievements page).

It doesn't work for me on Lectora Online or once published to CourseMill Wave (when using Google Chrome).

Could it be my Google Chrome Version? (Version 43.0.2357.81)

I checked your title in various ways in Lectora Inspire and in Chrome 43.0.2357.81, it all works as expected.

If you turn on Debug Mode when publishing it will popup the debug window from your LMS as well. I've used it on CourseMill and SCORM Cloud. It should work on CMWave as well. Sometimes the browser will block the popup Debug window and you have to "allow" it. That may help you troubleshoot to determine if it's your computer/browser or more widespread.
