Problem with matching question in custom template

Hiya - this is my first post (of many I'm sure). I'm diving into Lectora with minimal experience and trying to find my way around... I am entering content for a test/quiz into a template provided by a client. After completing the question wizard for a 'matching' type question, when I run the test to see how it works, it does not highlight with the blue boxes around the text and the corresponding blue lines to the appropriate match. I did a sample with a Lectora template and it worked no problem. Do I need to program this 'action' or should it automatically be done when entering this type of question? Appreciate any help - many thanks!
