Problem with creating new Shapes/Arrows

Hi,

I've been working on a document for several weeks and have been creating lots of arrows and rectangles without problems. Yesterday when I created a new arrow, the rectangle that I had created just prior turned into an arrow. Now whenever I create a new shape it changes the previous shapes to whatever the new type is. I found the resource manager while trying to troubleshoot and it seems that other shapes have been associated with this image filename. All new shapes are getting created with the filename 'shape.emf'. Previously all new shapes got indexed with a unique filename like 'shape979.emf', 'shape578.emf', etc.

I was thinking that the program exceeded the indexing amounts for these shapes because it looks like I've reached 'shape999.emf' but there are a lot of unused ones scattered between 001 and 999. So in Resource Manager I went and deleted a lot of the unused ones. But the new shapes still get created with the generic 'shape.emf' filename.

Getting really frustrated and have come to a standstill. How can I fix this?

I'm a new user of Lectora and did not receive any training other than a manual, so my problem may be a very simple one.

Thanks,

Pete
