Problem in Progression Bar of Video Player
August 20, 2014 12:00 AM
Hi there,
I'm having a frustrating issue with my Lectora (v11). Every time I upload a video to the software and play it, it doesn't show the full length in the video progression bar... In this case, i'm trying to upload an 17 minute video, but in Lectora, the progression bar of the video player only shows 2:59... when it reaches 2:59, the video continues to play, but I can't go back or forward in the video. I can only go back to the period between 0:00 and 2:59.
Can somebody help me with this?
Thanks in advance and sorry for any bad English.
Regards.

Definitely a problem. Make sure it is either MP4 or FLV. Make sure you have published it and not using Run or Preview mode.
Oh, by the way, most learners will NOT watch the whole video according to research. Your videos should be 2-3 minutes. You can make them as long as you want but people tend to do something else after 3 min.

I can try and convert the video to FLV...
Well, it's working as intended if the video is in the FLV format. Unfortunately, this format turns my video a lot bigger (45 Mb to 90 Mb), and my LMS platform doesn't allow courses with more than 50 Mb.
