How many questions?I do not use semi-transparent gifs. A bit more work than I want. Instead I either use a text box with a border (usually 2-4 px depending on the page appearance) or I put a shaded text box BEHIND the text. I use colors like light yellow, blue, green. Either of these produce nice readable text which semi-transparent gifs sometimes don't. I don't see why you need set variables yourself. Why not use the question variables. Clearly you will have 4 actions for each question. The condition on each simply tests the question variable for a,b,c,d or 1,2,3,4.Once you make one row of highlights, just copy and paste to get the next row. Then just change the question variable in the 4 actions.
