Permission Denied Error

OK, we finally have word from Microsoft that they are going to address the problem. The bug was introduced by the Microsoft MS06-042 (KB918899) update. What it boils down to is that IE was giving a permission denied error when checking the window.closed property, under certain conditions. (not all of the time) Trivantis opened up an incident report with Microsoft (case# SRX060830602995). It has now been elevated to a hot fix status, and has been included in the list of items to be put in the next available hotfix from Microsoft for IE. That hotfix has been estimated to be available some time in October, I do not have an exact date. They will also be releasing it via a public distribution (GDR) sometime after that, but again, I have no exact date for that release.Because of the length of the delay in the fix from Microsoft, Trivantis has created a patch for Lectora to cover the permission denied error from IE, which will be available within the next day or two, and will be listed as SP4.
