Passing Variables to Flash

Is it possible to pass variables from Lectora to flash through the parameters tab? For example lets say I have a text entry in lectora with the variable name of Entry_0001 and I want to pass the contents of that into a flash variable named entry1... On the parameters tab of my .swf I have "Name: Flashvars", "Value: entry1=Entry_0001" but all that does is pass the string "Entry_0001" to flash. Is there any way to define that as a lectora variable? Am I making sence here? The reason I'm trying to do it this way is that the getURL way doesn't work with firefox. Is it possible to pass variables from Lectora to flash through the parameters tab?
