Pages Not Displaying in IE When Played through Cornerstone
December 14, 2016 12:00 AM
Hello,
We are having trouble getting a file to play correctly in IE when we run it through our LMS (Cornerstone On Demand). On a few of the pages, certain text blocks do not show up at all and the page numbering and the table of contents also don’t appear. The course plays the way it’s supposed to in Firefox and Chrome. Also the course works fine in all browsers when we don’t run it through our LMS and just run it as a straight HTML course or through ReviewLink.
The issues appear on pages with tables. The tables appear but other text blocks do not. We are using Lectora 16.2.2. This is just a simple desktop course.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Check the compatibility mode. (In the course catalog, edit the course in question and scroll to the bottom of the General tab.) I recommend setting the Compatibility Mode to the highest IE version available in the list or the version deployed at your company, whichever is lower.
We had two courses go very wonky on us when we uploaded to our pilot environment (where the default compatibility mode was still IE7 and we didn't change it) that worked perfectly in production (where the default is IE10). Changed the setting in pilot and both courses worked normally there as well.
Good luck!
Sometimes I have had issues with seeing things that have a transition. Do the items that you can't see have a transition in or out?
Also, before that, do you have the compatibility mode in CSoD for the courses set to IE10?
Stan, Thank you! That was the issue. We raised the compatibility setting to IE 10 and it works.
