Page Size Dimensions Increase When Viewed in IE9

Hi,
I'm working on a project that have page dimensions of 980x660. When i publish and view in IE9, the dimensions have increased to 1021x687, thus blurring things. Anyone come across this before?
IE8, Firefox, Chrome, etc. all display as they should.
On another note, i'm also running a browser resize script to set the browser window to 980x660. Again, all works well in IE8 and other browsers but nothing happens in IE9.
