Second option clarification: If you put the text block on top of the menu, when in the chapter the learner will never see the text below it so they will never know that there is a misalighment. Yes, you do have to do a bit of trial and error to get the text to line up correctly in the x coordinate but not up and down. Just cover up the menu entry and they will never know. Now your point re. the menu working - no way around that. So, guess this one is out.Other Options:3. If your menu is transparent, you can put an a colored shape from the Shapes toolbar or an empty colored text block BEHIND the menu entry for the current chapter.4. Use an Indented list table of contents but do not show the pages. You can with a little Javascript change the highlight color so don't let that stop you.


Your option 4 would work. It could get a bit complicated depending on how close you wanted to emulate buttons. Text blocks currently do not support On-mouse-over so you can't change it. Also, you can't have the on-mouse-down change of color.
