Using 2008 sp2...Does anyone know how to make numeric variables behave as text variables? I need to string the numeric entries together inside of a variable to make a running list in order to compare new entries against the list... but they are adding themselves up instead of appending themselves to the list. (This is for determining whether a user has accessed training on a CD before...if the user has, then the "Section Completion" variables that are all retained set themselves accordingly - the user's ID variable will also need to be added to each "Section Completion" variable as well.) I am using the Modify Variable action and "Add to variable" modification type. I have tried using a letter in the text entry field along with the numbers as well as adding a space within the action itself between each text entry.
