non-software simulations in Lectora?

I took a very quick look at SmartBuilder demo. Seems there are some flash pieces and some video. You can easily integrate all those into Lectora along with branching. Not hard at all. It is a bit more challenging to make a decision INSIDE flash and have it affect the branching path in Lectora but it can be done without too much trouble from what I have seen on this forum. You might also want to consider some part of Captivate which has branching but Lectora is very straightforward once you know a few things like to create a branch, add an action to a button that is GoTo a specified page. On that page you can put anything you like - flash, video, audio, ...Scenario based / situation-based / simulation / role-play courses are much more engaging than just page turners and can be developed fairly easily in Lectora. Know that the real work is in the scenario design. It usually takes more than just an instructional designer and someone who can develop using a tool. Now you need:- the ID needs to be able to lay out a good story line along with good "activities" questions which involve predicting outcomes, why things might happen, or making decisions- a "script" writer to get the wording reasonable- someone who can come up with the animated graphics if you have any. - someone who can do audio if any.My main point here is that it is much more about the design than about the tool although the tool has to be able to implement something close to the design.
