Need a new direction

I am in contact with one of the course advisors (who agrees that the regulations are very restrictive) and while the standards are not set yet, they are going to get even worse. According to Trivantis, lectora cannot "time" PDF file usage so that format is counter productive. Changing the way that a bureaucrat is interpreting the new Mortgage Loan Originator License law and how it is to be implemented is not an option. I am going to have to change my way of instruction (that works very well) to their perceived notion of how it should be done.

The old concept of 10 pages & 10 questions = 1 hour of study won't work here. Thanks for taking the time to respond with so much information. It will give me a good starting point anyway.

Now the Federal government, in its infinite wisdom, is not concerned if anyone learns anything, they are only concerned that the student spend a certain number of hours "studying." Typically I would have around 200 pages of material in PDF form with related quizzes to cover the mandated material in Lectora. Now I have to place the 200 pages within Lectora (2007) so that it can be timed, and also timed-out should the student walk away from the computer during the study period.

I obviously need to learn how to do this. Do I just put a certain number of words on a page in Lectora, and then more of the words on the next page and have the student go from page to page? There is also the scroll feature for a Lectora page but I'm sure that it must have a limit of less than 20 or 30 pages to work smothly.

Can anyone give me a direction to proceede here? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mike
