Multiple Choice Questions

I am trying to enter my first multiple choice question. I can not figure out what I am doing wrong - Im sure its something so obvious that I am missing. Both the left column and right column text is all entered and I have a check answer button on the page. When I go into run mode or preview mode, the blue box does not display around the text I am selecting. Even though I can not see the blue box, I went through the question and answered correctly and tested the check answer button and did the same thing after answering incorrectly and the check answer button is working properly. I made sure the text is layered on the top. The background is grey so the blue lines should show up. Any other suggestions???? I am trying to enter my first multiple choice question.
